Finding a toothpaste with clean ingredients that actually works can feel like a daunting task. I was up for the challenge and I’m so happy to share my honest review with you about RiseWell toothpaste.

Benefits of RiseWell toothpaste

  • Inhibits the bacteria that causes cavities
  • Freshens breath while protecting your gums and teeth
  • Hydroxyapatite naturally strengthens, whitens, and restores
  • Does not contain fluoride

Does RiseWell toothpaste have fluoride?

RiseWell toothpaste is made with naturally-derived hydroxyapatite, a mineral that makes up 97% of your tooth enamel and 60% of your bones and has been proven to strengthen and protect your teeth without fluoride.

There are studies that have linked the use of excessive fluoride to a number of health concerns, one of which being thyroid dysfunction. Since I have hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s, I decided to remove fluoride from my toothpaste and drinking water to eliminate it from my environment to prevent any harmful effects it could potentially have.

Fluoride can also have an impact on gut health according to this study, so do your due diligence and make an informed decision on whether or not you want to use fluoride.

What is hydroxyapatite?

A revolution in oral care, HA has become standard in Japan, and is increasingly being used in Europe due to its safety and effectiveness. There is research that shows it is as good or better at remineralizing your teeth than fluoride.

Hydroxyapatite is a natural mineral that makes up 90% of your tooth enamel and 60% of your bones. You have pounds of it in your body and its floating around in your mouth.

I asked my dentist for recommendations on a natural toothpaste and RiseWell was on the list of ones he encouraged me to try, and it been my favorite since I tried it in 2021.

When looking for a toothpaste without fluoride I found that I didn’t like the taste, consistency and/or the toothpaste left my mouth feeling less than fresh. After one use of RiseWell, I was hooked. I use the Wild Mint flavor and really like it.

It is a gentle toothpaste without an overpowering mint flavor.

Why is RiseWell toothpaste different than traditional toothpaste?

Most natural toothpastes don’t include any ingredients that remineralize your enamel the way that fluoride does in traditional toothpaste. RiseWell uses hydroxyapatite which has been shown in studies to remineralize your enamel as well as, or even better than, fluoride!

Does RiseWell toothpaste help to whiten teeth?

Yes. Hydroxyapatite has natural whitening properties. RiseWell toothpaste whitens without the use of harsh peroxides that strip enamel and cause sensitivity.

Those with sensitive teeth can also use RiseWell because it has natural anti-sensitivity properties.
