Asking for Help to Lighten the Motherhood Load with Lisa Day, NTP

Sharing is caring!

SHOW NOTES: Episode 41

Do you have a hard time asking for help?

Today, Lisa Day, NTP and I talk more about the importance of asking for help as mothers and as women in general. Lisa is a  functional nutritional therapy practitioner, wife, and mother of 3. She teaches women the foundations of health and help them get to the root cause of their symptoms using a functional medicine approach.

Lisa shares some tips that have helped her in today’s episode in hopes that it can help you too. We share more about the challenges of balancing family responsibilities and personal well-being.

Lisa explains that as women, we often carry a heavy load of responsibilities. It is okay to ask for help because we cannot do everything and do not have to strive to be “superwoman”. Asking for help not only benefits ourselves but also our families and relationships. Asking for help can positively impact our marriage and interactions with our children when we aren’t doing all of the things that women and mothers often are expected to do and asking for help along the way.

Remember – asking for help is NOT a sign of weakness but essential in taking care of ourselves and maintaining a balanced and fulfilling life.

By taking care of oneself, seeking help when necessary, and finding balance, you can reduce stress, avoid resentment, and be more present and engaged in your roles and relationships!
