How can you thrive and find a positive outlook on life with Hashimotos?  Today I am so excited to chat with Amy Tenney, another Hashimoto’s sister.  She is a natural health practitioner, a yoga breathwork and meditation instructor.

On today’s episode, we talk about being diagnosed with Hashimotos and the symptoms Amy had that led to her to getting help. We chat about how integrating a new way of healing into your life can be really empowering, learning what works and doesn’t work, and being open to ways that can heal — whether that be food, lifestyle, or medication. 

Amy and I talk about how our mind is really powerful at helping you frame how you’re feeling and how a mindset shift and understanding what is happening in your body can truly change your outlook. We also chat about how you are worth nurturing, how to love your body well, why overexercising is not a good idea with somebody who has Hashimotos, and giving ourselves permission to rest.

What works for you once might not always continually work for you. You have to keep listening in and honing into what your needs are in that specific season of your life, and then honoring yourself accordingly.
