Have you thought about adding things to your wellness routine instead of restricting?

Today, I am talking about adding in to crowd out the other habits that aren’t serving you well when it comes to your wellness journey. I am going to give you a little bit of a different spin on how to approach your health and wellness goals so you don’t feel so overwhelmed in life.

On today’s episode, I dive into the topic of adding in to crowd out. A lot of the time, we make wellness and health so complex that we throw in the towel and have an all or nothing mentality where everything needs to be perfect. We exhaust ourselves and become miserable by striving for perfection. I believe that every person should be able to find ways to infuse wellness and healthy choices into their life without hating their life. Choose one thing that you can start today to help change your habits. 

Here are a few simple examples of what you can add into your life:

1. Add a vegetable to each meal 

2. Add in a five minute walk

3. Add a glass of water before coffee in the morning

4. Add a glass of water before you drink a pop

5. Add meditation/ breathwork to your day

6. Read a book for five mins a day

7. Add five minutes of sunlight in the morning

The idea of adding these different things in or adding one thing at a time is truly to just crowd out the things that are no longer serving you or the things that don’t align with your goals. Before you realize it, it’s going to be a natural thing for you to continue these habits on a daily basis.

Wellness is a lifelong commitment and you have to learn patience as you go through your journey.

Surround yourself with people who are going to support your goals of feeling your best. Tune into what is important to you and build those habits to support how you want to feel. You are worth the work to feel your best.
